A Chance to Rest. As part of my Deep Rest Series, I return to the Yoga Garden to deliver my next Yoga Workshop focusing on Rest and Release - perfectly timed for September and the start of Autumn. A chance to release whatever needs to be dropped to make way for freshness, newness and nurturing rest.

Releasing tension and holding from body and mind. Discovering the healing benefits of calmness through connection with the universal life force - prana.

What to Expect...
Practices include yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), meditation and nidra (yogic sleep). I will be there to assist and offer support throughout. All welcome.

Come as you are. Ragged, tatty round the edges, perhaps a little ruffled. Trust that the rest you need is available and you deserve it.

FRIDAY 19TH NOVEMBER - 12.30-2.30pm

Our final Workshop for 2021 as part of the Deep Rest Series, will be to Rest and Reflect - an opportunity to meet the body and mind fully as it is, integrating reflective practices with time to release and replenish as we head deeper into winter and naturally become more reflective.

Donna Raftery 500hr YOGA ALLIANCE PROFESSIONAL

awaken to your essence nature moving with aliveness, creativity and expansion through integration of breath and attention enabling deep release, fall into stillness.

Donna discovered her own practice through various styles of yoga including Astanga Vinyasa, Hatha, Iyengar and Hot Yoga, before finally finding the Vajrasati School set up by Jim Tarran in 2000. The combination of yoga philosophy and embodied practices such as meditation, mantra and pranayama gave her access to the depth she was looking for. After being a student for 18 years she went on to complete her 500hr Yoga Alliance Teacher Training. Her aim is simply to share this practice as a means to realise the ultimate potential in all of us. To integrate mind, body and soul on and off the mat. To live fully, holistically and happily. Classes are crafted with a meditative feel, through movements of the body - āsana (poses) and the subsequent releasing of tension and stress through the breath. Instructions are guides towards an experience rather than a goal - authentic and heart centred. Weaving some anatomy and philosophy throughout - pointing towards the deeper aspects of our being.
